The Diablo Flat Edge Sanding Sponge is a 4" x 2-1/2" x 1" foam-backed hand-sanding block with abrasive on every flat face. The flat-edge geometry reaches into inside corners, along straight edges, and across contoured surfaces that rounded sponges and orbital sander pads cannot.

The 36 grit (ultra coarse) abrasive is built for the most aggressive hand-sanding - stripping heavy paint and varnish, leveling rough lumber, removing weathered exterior finishes, and knocking down major surface defects before stepping up to finer grits.

Tip: 36 grit removes material fast. Use light pressure and check progress often - the deep scratch pattern from 36 grit takes several steps to sand back out at finer grits.
