The workhorse residential reducer: 3/4" feeder to a 1/2" sprinkler riser, drip-line header, or short hose lateral. Common in raised-bed agriculture, greenhouse misting loops, residential drip systems, and the transition from a 3/4" garden hose to a 1/2" soaker for slow root watering.

Tip: Push each pipe end fully past the inner barb shoulder before snugging the compression nut - if the pipe stops at the first barb it will weep under pressure. A small dab of dish soap on the barbs eases insertion on cold-day installs without affecting the seal.
