Mazel electro-galvanized roofing nails with a wide flat head, smooth shank, and diamond point, sized for fastening asphalt shingles, roofing felt, and insulating board to wood roof deck. Steel core with a thin zinc electroplate finish for general weather resistance under shingle cover.

Tip: 1-1/4" length is the workhorse roofing fastener for standard 3-tab and laminated/architectural shingles with single-layer ice-and-water membrane. Drive heads flush with the shingle surface and not into it -- overdriven nails crush the asphalt mat and lead to leaks. Six nails per shingle in normal wind zones, eight nails in high-wind areas.
