Mazel electro-galvanized roofing nails with a wide flat head, smooth shank, and diamond point, sized for fastening asphalt shingles, roofing felt, and insulating board to wood roof deck. Steel core with a thin zinc electroplate finish for general weather resistance under shingle cover.

Tip: 1-1/2" length is sized for re-roofing over one existing layer of asphalt shingles, or for new work where 30# felt + ice-and-water adds stack thickness. Drive heads flush with the shingle surface and not into it -- overdriven nails crush the asphalt mat and lead to leaks. Six nails per shingle in normal wind zones, eight nails in high-wind areas.
