Ali Industries Gator 3147 is a 2-pack of 50-grit coarse 3" x 21" sanding belts for portable belt sanders. The 50-grit cut sits between aggressive shaping and general smoothing -- the typical follow-up after 40-grit stock removal.

Use Tip: Let the sander's weight do the work; pushing harder gouges the surface and burns the belt. Keep the sander moving in long, overlapping passes along the grain -- stopping in one spot leaves a dip. Step through 80 before finishing grits.

Care Tip: Tap or brush the belt against a cleaning stick (a chunk of crepe rubber) to clear pitch and finish between cuts -- gets significantly more life out of each belt.
