Selection Tip: 5 Ft is the shortest length in this family and is sized for new construction or remodels where a recessed ice-maker outlet box (Sioux Chief, Oatey, Guy Gray) sits directly in the wall cavity behind the fridge. If the wall-stop or saddle valve is more than a few feet from the appliance port, step up to the 6 Ft or 8 Ft connector.

Install Tip: Shut the saddle valve or angle stop, run the cold-water line until the head drains, hand-thread both ends, then snug 1/4 to 1/2 turn past hand-tight with a 7/16" open-end wrench. Over-torquing distorts the cone washer and leaks; the captive washer seals on light snug. Pressure-test before pushing the fridge back into place - it is a lot easier to fix a drip with the cabinet face open.

Note: For cold potable water service only. Do not use on hot water, steam, or chemical lines. Inspect every 5 years; replace at any sign of braid corrosion, kinks, or weeping at the fittings.
