FLUIDMASTER ICE MAKER CONNECTOR

Braided stainless steel supply line that runs cold water from the household plumbing stub to the refrigerator's ice maker and water-dispenser inlet. The PEX core inside the braid resists kinking when the fridge is rolled in and out of its nook, and the woven 304 stainless overbraid takes the abuse of a tight pull-through behind cabinets that would split bare poly tubing.

  • 6 Ft (72") overall length - reaches a standard kitchen wall-stop with slack to roll the fridge out for service
  • 1/4" compression fitting on both ends - matches the standard 1/4" OD copper or PEX stub at the wall-stop and the 1/4" inlet port on most household refrigerator ice makers
  • 304 stainless steel braided sleeve over flexible PEX core
  • Captive cone washers swage to the stub once tightened - no separate ferrule to lose or misalign
  • Easy-grip nickel-plated hex nuts spin onto the stop and the fridge port with a 7/16" wrench or by hand
  • Rated for cold potable water service to the appliance
  • Lead-free, complies with the Federal Safe Drinking Water Act
  • Manufacturer Part Number: 12IM72

Install Tip: Shut the saddle valve or angle stop, run the cold-water line until the head drains, hand-thread both ends, then snug 1/4 to 1/2 turn past hand-tight with a 7/16" open-end wrench. Over-torquing distorts the cone washer and leaks; the captive washer seals on light snug. Pressure-test before pushing the fridge back into place - it is a lot easier to fix a drip with the cabinet face open.

Note: For cold potable water service only. Do not use on hot water, steam, or chemical lines. Inspect every 5 years; replace at any sign of braid corrosion, kinks, or weeping at the fittings.
