Tip: 5/16" (130 Lb WLL) handles small-dog and cat leashes, light tether work for small livestock and poultry, banner hanging on light flags and small signs, and small-craft connector work. Inspect the spring gate before each use - the gate should snap fully closed under its own spring tension; replace any snap whose gate lags, sticks open, or shows visible wear or distortion at the closure tang. For salt-water or constant outdoor exposure, step up to a stainless-steel snap (zinc plating is for indoor and light-weather service only).
