Tip: 1/2" (230 Lb WLL) handles large-dog leashes, garage utility tethers, light tarp and equipment tie-downs, and quick-attach to chain or rope for tow-strap staging. Inspect the spring gate before each use - the gate should snap fully closed under its own spring tension; replace any snap whose gate lags, sticks open, or shows visible wear or distortion at the closure tang. For salt-water or constant outdoor exposure, step up to a stainless-steel snap (zinc plating is for indoor and light-weather service only).
