Micron Selection Tip: Use 5 micron after a sediment pre-filter for general whole-house chlorine reduction on municipal water. Use 1 micron when you want the finest particulate filtration -- a good polishing stage before a kitchen or refrigerator branch line.

Installation Tip: Shut off the supply valve, depress the housing pressure relief button, unscrew the sump, drop in the new cartridge, lubricate the O-ring with food-grade silicone grease, and hand-tighten the sump. Slowly reopen the supply and flush 10 gallons before drinking water.
