Micron Selection Tip: Use 30 micron as a pre-filter on well water or any source with visible sediment -- it extends the life of finer filters downstream. Use 10 micron for typical municipal water with light sediment. Use 5 micron as a polishing stage ahead of a CTO carbon cartridge for the cleanest finished water.

Installation Tip: Shut off the supply valve, depress the housing pressure relief button, unscrew the sump, drop in the new cartridge, lubricate the O-ring with food-grade silicone grease, and hand-tighten the sump. Slowly reopen the supply and flush 5 gallons before drinking water.
