Installation Tip: Drill the 1/2" hole, fold the metal channel along the strap legs, push it through the hole, and pull the strap toward you so the channel rests flat against the back of the wall. Slide the plastic cap down the strap until it sits flush against the wall, then snap the strap legs off at the cap. Thread the bolt through whatever you are hanging into the channel and tighten.

Thread selection Tip: Choose 1/4"-20 over the 3/16"-24 size when you need to match standard 1/4"-20 hardware (most heavy-duty shelf brackets, grab bars, ceiling hooks, and TV-mount bolts come threaded for 1/4"-20).
