National Hardware 1/2" wire rope clamp (U-bolt clip) secures wire rope to form an eye or loop, giving you a reliable termination for cable assemblies, tie-downs, and rigging. The U-bolt clamps over the rope and the malleable iron saddle seats against the load-bearing (live) side for a secure hold.

• Fits 1/2" wire rope
• Steel U-bolt and hex nuts with malleable iron saddle
• Zinc plated for corrosion resistance
• Meets torque value of Federal Specification FF-C-450D, Type 1, Class 2
• Forms an eye or loop, or anchors webbing or strap
• Minimum 3 clamps per termination at this size (per FF-C-450D)

Tip: "Never saddle a dead horse" - the saddle (the heavier U-shaped piece) always goes against the long, load-bearing side of the rope; the U-bolt goes around the short tail. Re-torque the nuts after the rope has been loaded a few times.
