CARLSON 18-GAUGE BRAD NAILS, GALVANIZED - 1", 5000-PACK18-gauge galvanized brad nails for pneumatic brad nailers. The 18-gauge wire is thin enough to leave a small, easy-to-fill hole in trim while the galvanized coating resists corrosion in interior trim and light exterior applications. Chisel point for clean entry and reduced splitting in finish-grade wood.
- Length: 1"
- Gauge: 18 GA wire
- Head: T-head brad (nearly invisible after set, fills cleanly with putty)
- Point: Chisel point - enters wood square and reduces splitting in oak, maple, and other hardwoods
- Finish: Galvanized for corrosion resistance
- Collation: Straight strip, glue-collated for clean residue-free firing
- Pack: 5,000 brads per box
- MPN: 23150
Length selection: Use for delicate trim, panel applique, shoe molding, picture-frame backing, and hobby or craft assembly where holding power has to come from a head you can hide.
Nailer compatibility: Fits 18-gauge pneumatic brad nailers from Senco, Paslode, Bostitch, DeWalt, Porter-Cable, Hitachi/Metabo HPT, Makita, Ridgid, Craftsman, and most other major brands. 18-gauge straight brad is an industry-standard collation - any 18 GA brad nailer designed for straight strip brads accepts these.
Tip: Set the nailer depth on scrap of the same wood before doing finish work - brads driven too deep blow out the surface in soft pine; brads left proud have to be hand-set with a punch and putty. For exterior applications, step up to a 16-gauge galvanized finish nail since 18-gauge brads carry less holding power and the galvanized coating on a brad is thinner than on a finish nail.
