ELITE SECURITY KEYED ENTRY BALL KNOB   OIL RUBBED BRONZE  2 PACK

This Elite Security 2-pack keyed-entry ball knob set lets you re-key two exterior or frequently locked interior doors with matching hardware at one budget price. Each knob is a classic ball-style lever with a keyed cylinder on the outside and a turn-button on the inside, fitting standard residential 2-1/8" cross-bore doors. The oil rubbed bronze finish is the most common Elite Security trim option and coordinates with other Kwikset-compatible hardware on the same door.

  • Keyed-entry ball knob lockset, 2-pack (both keyed alike)
  • Oil Rubbed Bronze finish on a stamped-steel knob and rosette
  • KW1 keyway - same as Kwikset, so a locksmith can re-pin to match your existing Kwikset or Weiser key without changing the cylinder
  • Adjustable backset: fits both 2-3/8" and 2-3/4" door prep
  • 2-1/8" cross bore, 1" edge bore (standard residential prep)
  • Fits door thickness 1-3/8" to 1-3/4"
  • ANSI Grade 3 residential security rating
  • Reversible for left- or right-hand doors
  • Iron nickel-plated keys (typically 2 keys per knob, 4 total)

Installation Tip: Drop the latch into the edge bore first with the sloped face matching the closing direction (slope hits the strike). Set the backset tab on the latch to 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" before installing. Then slide the exterior knob tailpiece through the latch hub, mate the interior rose, and snug the two long mounting screws evenly so the rose sits flush without binding the latch. Confirm the strike plate aligns to the latch with a 1/8" gap on the stop side before final tightening.

Finish Selection Tip: Oil rubbed bronze has a dark brown-bronze tone with subtle highlights and is popular for traditional, craftsman, and Spanish/Mediterranean trim packages. The finish is a living lacquer - high-traffic palm wear can lighten the high points over years; that wear pattern is intentional. Clean with a soft cloth; avoid harsh chemicals.

Security Note: Ball knobs are NOT ADA-compliant - the round profile cannot be operated with a closed fist, so they are not approved for commercial or multi-family code-required openings. For ADA-required doors, step up to a lever set. For exterior doors, pair the keyed knob with a single-cylinder deadbolt and replace the factory 3/4" strike screws with 3" wood screws into the framing stud - the strike-screw upgrade is the single biggest improvement against kick-in attempts. KW1 keyway means a locksmith can key these alike to an existing Kwikset, Weiser, or other KW1-compatible cylinder so you carry one key instead of several.
