Tip: A 5/8" hole in masonry is a heavy cut for a rotary-only bit - use a 1/2" or larger chuck drill with low speed and firm, steady pressure, and step up from a smaller pilot bit (3/8" or 1/2") to keep the cut accurate and reduce load on the carbide tip.
