S-LINE HEAVY DUTY BUNGEE CORD - 40"

S-Line Heavy Duty Bungee Cords deliver twice the tension of standard bungee cords thanks to 50% more rubber inside the jacket. The safety-orange polyester outer jacket keeps the cord visible against dark cargo, while heavy-duty steel hooks with a corrosion-resistant coating and molded tip guards keep the attachment points secure.

  • Twice the tension of standard bungee cords
  • 50% more rubber inside the jacket for extra holding power
  • Safety-orange polyester outer jacket for high visibility
  • Heavy-duty steel hooks with corrosion-resistant coating
  • Molded tip guards reduce hook-slip injury risk
  • Sturdier alternative to EPDM rubber tarp ties
  • 40" relaxed length
  • Sold individually

Selection Tip: Larger loads - full tarps over a short-bed pickup, ladders strapped to a roof rack, several gear bags lashed together, motorcycle covers. Stretches comfortably to about 60" before hitting the 50% guideline.

Use Tip: Hook the fixed end first, then stretch the cord toward the second anchor point. Stay within roughly 50% past the relaxed length - over-stretching shortens cord life and increases the chance of a snap-back if a hook slips. For permanent or load-rated tie-down work, step up to a rated ratchet strap instead.

Safety Tip: Wear safety glasses any time you stretch a bungee cord. The molded tip guards reduce the chance of a hook slipping into your hands or face, but they do not eliminate it. Inspect each cord before use and retire any with a frayed jacket, exposed rubber strands, bent hooks, or torn tip guards.

Note: Bungee cords are intended for light cargo restraint - tarp tie-downs, gear bags, covers, and similar non-critical loads. They are not rated for overhead lifting, towing, vehicle recovery, or personnel safety. Under heavy UV or weather exposure, expect 1-2 seasons of service before the jacket fades and the rubber inside begins to dry out and lose tension.
