Use Case: Baseboard pinning, door and window casing, door-stop installation, and thicker decorative trim. Embeds about 3/4 inch into substrate behind 3/4 inch trim - the standard finish carpenter's go-to length.

Tip: 18 GA brads hold trim in place while glue cures but do not provide structural holding power. Use construction adhesive or wood glue at any joint that must support load and treat the brads as a temporary clamp. For heavy baseboards over 5/8 inch thick or for trim that takes physical abuse, step up to 16 GA finish nails (DeWalt DCS16 series).
