Lead-free yellow brass transition fitting that connects polyethylene poly tubing to female iron pipe thread. Used to join PE poly drop pipe, irrigation lateral, or well-system supply line to a brass or galvanized FIP fitting on a pump head, pressure tank tee, or manifold port. Brass holds up to chlorinated municipal water, well-system iron and sulfur exposure, and freeze-thaw cycles that crack lower-grade plastic transition fittings.

Use: Standard size for residential and small-commercial submersible-pump installations, larger irrigation main lines, pump discharge to pressure tank, and water-supply transitions on properties with high pump output.

Installation tip: Warm the poly tubing 15-20 seconds in hot water before pushing the barb in so the shank seats fully past the first barb. Finish with a stainless worm-gear clamp positioned squarely over the barbs, not behind them. Apply two wraps of PTFE tape (Teflon) clockwise on the male NPT threads before joining to the iron pipe fitting.

Compatibility tip: Sized for nominal 1" CTS polyethylene well-system tubing. Confirm the actual OD of the poly run matches the barb before clamping - oversize CTS poly can leak under pump-cycle pressure spikes even when clamped.
