This Homewerks Schedule 40 PVC union provides a removable connection point in your piping system, making it easy to disconnect and reconnect pipe sections for maintenance or repairs without cutting. The solvent-weld slip ends and rubber O-ring seal deliver a leak-proof connection.

Tip: Cement the slip ends to the pipe with the union nut backed off so the O-ring and seat are clear of solvent. Once both ends are bonded and the cement is set, hand-tighten the union nut - never use channel locks or a pipe wrench, which can crack the plastic threads. The O-ring carries the seal; over-torquing does not improve it.
