Tip: Center-punch the broken fastener so the bit does not walk, drill the pilot hole straight to roughly half the fastener depth, then thread the extractor in counterclockwise with a tap wrench or adjustable wrench. On rust-frozen fasteners, apply penetrating oil and let it soak (or apply gentle heat) before turning the extractor.
