ANDERSON METALS STAINLESS STEEL 90 ELBOW - 1/2"

This Anderson Metals Type 304 stainless steel 90-degree elbow makes a right-angle directional change in threaded piping. Corrosion-resistant construction suits food processing, dairy, brewing, marine, chemical, and general industrial service where carbon steel or brass would corrode or contaminate the line.

  • 1/2" FIP x FIP - female NPT threads on both ports (1/2-14 NPT)
  • Type 304 stainless steel (ASTM A-351) for broad chemical and corrosion resistance
  • 90-degree elbow for right-angle pipe runs and direction changes
  • Class 150 rating - 300 PSI at 72 deg F, 150 PSI saturated steam at 366 deg F
  • NPT threads conform to ASME B1.20.1 for cross-brand fitting compatibility
  • Use with air, water, oil, natural gas, low-pressure steam, and most non-chlorinated chemicals
  • Anderson Metals MPN 62103B (62100-series sequential family by size: 62100=1/8", 62101=1/4", 62102=3/8", 62103=1/2", 62104=3/4", 62105=1")
  • 0.13 lb net weight

Tip: Wrap the male thread on the mating fitting with 2-3 wraps of PTFE tape (or apply a stainless-compatible thread sealant) and tighten hand-tight plus 1 to 2 turns with a wrench. Type 304 stainless threads can gall under excessive torque, so stop as soon as the joint seals - cranking past leak-tight is the most common failure mode and can lock the fitting permanently or split the female port. Avoid pairing with chlorinated environments (pool/spa lines or coastal salt-spray exposure) where 316 stainless is the better material.
