CHARLOTTE PIPE PVC DWV 90-DEGREE STREET ELBOW - 6"This 6" Schedule 40 PVC street elbow turns drain, waste, and vent piping 90 degrees in a single fitting. The street pattern carries a hub on one end and a spigot on the other, letting it drop straight into the next fitting hub without an extra coupling. That saves a joint, an inch or two of run, and a glue cycle on tight rough-ins against floor joists, behind framed walls, or under cabinets.
- Hub x spigot connection for direct fitting-to-pipe transitions
- 90-degree angle (also called a 1/4 bend)
- Schedule 40 PVC DWV construction
- Dual rated for pressure (ASTM D1785) and drainage (ASTM D2665)
- Meets ASTM D3311 and NSF Standard 14
- Working temperature: 32 to 140 deg F
- Size: 6"
Use Case: The 6" size suits large building mains, commercial fixture groups, multi-WC manifolds, and 6" branch-to-main runs in large residential or light-commercial DWV. Match the elbow size to the pipe and fitting size already on the run; use a reducing coupling or reducing bushing if you need to step up or down at the elbow.
Installation Tip: Cut the pipe square, deburr inside and out, and dry-fit first so the spigot bottoms in the next hub and the hub seats fully on the upstream spigot. Apply PVC primer to both surfaces, then a full coat of solvent cement on the spigot and a thinner coat on the hub. Push together with a quarter-turn twist and hold 30 seconds; cure undisturbed before pressure or backfill per the cement label.
Note: "Street" means hub-by-spigot, not "sweep". For long-sweep flow on waste runs that may carry solids, use a long-radius elbow or two 45-degree fittings. Vent and dry-side connections can use the standard short-pattern street elbow shown here. Always check your local plumbing code for fitting type allowed at the specific joint.
