BOSTITCH POWERCROWN STAPLES - 7/16" CROWN, 1/4" LEGBostitch PowerCrown wide-crown construction staples in the STCR5019 series. The 7/16" crown spans a wider clamping footprint than narrow-crown finish staples, holding sheet materials (housewrap, felt, vapor barrier, insulation facing) flat against substrate without tearing through. Chisel-point legs drive cleanly into pine, fir, plywood, and OSB sheathing, and the galvanized coating resists corrosion on partially exposed installs (under roofing, behind siding, behind exterior trim).
- 7/16" wide crown - clamps sheet goods flat without tearing
- Leg length: 1/4"
- Chisel point for clean penetration into wood substrates
- Galvanized finish for moderate corrosion resistance
- Stick-collated for use in Bostitch heavy-duty crown staplers
- 1,000 staples per box
- Boss MPN STCR50191/4-1M
Compatible Staplers: Bostitch PC1000, PC2000, PC4000, PC5000, H30-8, P6C-8, T6-8, T6-8OC3, and other Bostitch heavy-duty crown staplers using the STCR5019 series. Cross-compatible with most other 7/16"-crown heavy-duty manual and pneumatic staplers, but always verify against the tool magazine spec since crown width and leg-length range vary by model.
Application Tip (1/4" leg): Pinning thin sheet goods to wood substrate - screen-on-frame, vapor barriers over insulation, light upholstery on chair seats and bench cushions, foamboard pinning, and shipping-carton sealing where minimum penetration into the substrate is required.
Leg-Length Selection Tip: Match the leg length to the combined thickness of the sheet good plus the depth you want into the substrate. A staple legged longer than the substrate can take will protrude on the back side; one legged too short will not hold under wind load or peel stress. For roofing felt and housewrap on nominal 1/2" sheathing, 3/8" is the workhorse; bump to 1/2" or 9/16" for multi-layer or thicker material.
