Pre-bent step flashing creates a long-lasting, weather-resistant seal at chimneys, dormers, skylights, and wall-to-roof transitions on shingled roofs. Arrives folded into a 90 degree L, so you skip the bench-bending step and just slide each piece up behind a shingle course as you work up the joint.

Tip: Standard install is one piece per course, overlapping the previous flashing by at least 2" so water always lands on metal or shingle. Nail high (within the upper 1" of the flashing) so the next shingle course covers the nail head - never nail through the lower exposed leg. Pair with a kick-out flashing at the bottom of the wall to divert water into the gutter. The 8" leg length suits laminate/architectural shingles with 5-5/8" to 6" exposure.
