Tip: Press the tape edge down with a putty knife or your fingernail before painting - this is the single biggest determinant of a sharp paint line. Pull the tape off at a 45 degree angle within the 8-day window; longer than that on a sunny window and the adhesive starts to cure into the surface. For dark trim with light walls, use a thin bead of paintable caulk along the tape edge first to seal pinholes.
