FASTENMASTER LEDGERLOK FLAT HEAD SCREW - 3-5/8", 12PKThe FastenMaster LedgerLok is a code-listed structural wood screw engineered to install deck ledger boards directly to the rim joist with no pre-drilling required. The flat countersinking head pulls flush to the ledger face, and the multi-step corrosion coating is rated for direct contact with pressure-treated lumber.
- Length: 3-5/8"
- Pack: 12 screws plus TORX driver bit
- TORX ttap drive resists cam-out and lets you re-engage the bit without stripping
- Self-drilling gimlet point - no pilot hole needed in dimensional lumber
- Three-step corrosion coating rated for ACQ, CA, and MCA pressure-treated lumber
- ICC-ES ESR-1078 listed for deck ledger connections; replaces traditional 1/2" lag bolts
- Hex flange under the flat head countersinks for a flush finish
Tip: Drive with a 14.4V or higher cordless drill or impact driver - LedgerLok prefers slow, steady torque over hammering. The 3-5/8" length is sized for a typical 2x deck ledger to 2x rim joist (about 3" total wood) so the threads land in the rim joist. For engineered I-joist rims, LVL rims, or when a 1/2" flashing/spacer gap sits between ledger and rim, step up to the 5" version. Follow FastenMaster's published deck-ledger fastening schedule for spacing.
Use: Deck ledger to rim joist, stair stringers to deck face, exterior structural framing in pressure-treated or untreated lumber. For rafter, truss, or multi-ply LVL beams use TimberLok or HeadLok instead.
