GREAT NECK PHILLIPS SCREWDRIVER, SQUARE SHANK - #1Square-shank Phillips screwdriver with chrome vanadium steel blade, fluted impact-resistant acetate handle, and magnetized tip. The square shaft accepts an adjustable wrench for extra leverage on stuck or seized fasteners. Color-coded handle fluting identifies the driver size at a glance.
- Tip size: #1 - fits #5 to #9 wood and machine screws (small fasteners, light hardware, electronics)
- Overall length: 6.9"
- Stubby length - short blade fits in tight clearances and confined spaces where a standard driver will not reach
- Chrome vanadium steel blade and square shaft
- Fluted acetate handle for secure multi-grip control
- Magnetized tip for one-handed pickup and hold
- Sand-blasted, precision-machined tip for accurate engagement and reduced cam-out
- Square shaft accepts an adjustable wrench for extra torque on stubborn fasteners
Tip: Match the driver tip size exactly to the screw recess - a #1 in a #2 screw or a #2 in a #1 screw cams out and chews the cross. Apply firm axial pressure to keep the tip seated in the recess, and back off rather than force the driver if it starts to slip. A cammed-out Phillips head is the #1 cause of stripped screws during DIY assembly.
