3M Wet or Dry Sandpaper uses sharp silicon carbide grain on a waterproof backing, so you can sand wet to flush away swarf or dry for fast cutting. 600 grit Ultra Fine is the polish-prep grit - the final wet-sand before buffing on automotive clear coat, and the standard grit for knife and tool sharpening on a flat stone.

Tip: After wet-sanding at 600, rinse the panel and dry it completely before buffing. Any leftover slurry will load the polishing pad and slow the buff.
