Connect a 1" female NPT threaded port directly to 1" ID polyethylene pipe, braided vinyl tubing, garden hose, or washdown line - no extra fittings needed. Common 1" applications: threads onto a 1" male nipple downstream of a backflow preventer, pressure regulator, or pump discharge, then feeds a 1" PE main run to the yard or field. Also used to mate a 1" filter housing or chemical-injector outlet to a contractor washdown hose or marine deck-supply line.

Tip: Apply 2-3 wraps of PTFE thread tape to the mating male NPT threads - no pipe dope. Warm the 1" PE pipe end in roughly 140 deg F tap water for 20-30 seconds before sliding it over the barbs, especially in cool weather, then let the joint cool before pressurizing for a leak-tight seal.
