Turn 90 degrees from a male NPT threaded port into 1/2" ID polyethylene pipe, braided vinyl tubing, garden hose, or washdown line - no extra fittings needed. The fiberglass-reinforced nylon body with a 1/2" male NPT one end and an ANKA captive blue compression nut on the other is the signature of the Watts ANKA agricultural fittings line: approved for potable water, non-corrosive in fertilizer and chlorinated lines, and rated 230 PSI at 140 deg F.

Common 1/2" applications: zone valve outlet to a 1/2" drip-line corner, hose-bib lateral feeding a raised-bed run, sprinkler manifold port to a riser, and the bend out of a fertilizer-injector tee into the start of a drip header. Often paired upstream of ANKA tees and reducing couplings to fan out into a residential drip layout.

Tip: Apply 2-3 wraps of PTFE thread tape to the male NPT threads - no pipe dope, which can soften the nylon over time. Hand-tighten the brass or PVC mating part 2-3 turns past finger-tight; do not crank with channel locks because over-torque can crack the nylon hex.
