Storm collar for a 6" DuraVent Type B gas vent where it passes through the roof. It installs above the roof flashing and makes a weatherproof seal at the pipe and roof line, so water sheds onto the flashing instead of running down the pipe into the roof opening.

Installation Tip: Set the adjustable roof flashing first, then slide the storm collar down the pipe until it rests on the flashing, and run a bead of high-temperature silicone sealer around the inner edge where the collar meets the pipe. That sealed inner edge is what keeps water out.

Sizing Note: Storm collars are sized by the vent pipe they fit, not by the appliance flue outlet. A 6" Type B vent takes the 6" collar (6BVSC).

Note: This is a Type B gas vent part, for use with DuraVent Type B (B-Vent) pipe on natural-draft gas appliances. It is not a part for wood, pellet, coal or oil-fired appliances, or for single-wall or high-temperature chimney systems. Follow the DuraVent installation instructions and local code for clearances to combustibles and termination height.
