DEWALT ELITE SERIES CARBIDE METAL-CUTTING RECIP BLADE - 12", 8 TPI

The DeWalt Elite Series DWAR12108CT-1 carbide-tipped reciprocating blade is built for the toughest metal cutting jobs. Precision-welded tungsten carbide teeth on a tall high-carbon steel body cut cast iron, stainless steel, high-strength alloys, and hardened fasteners that would strip a bi-metal blade. The wide blade profile resists twist and tracks straight even on deep cuts in heavy stock.

  • Blade length: 12" (8 TPI)
  • Precision-welded tungsten carbide teeth for hard metals
  • Tall blade body for straight, twist-resistant cuts
  • Cuts stainless steel, cast iron, high-strength alloys, hardened fasteners
  • 1/2" universal tang fits all reciprocating saws (DeWalt, Milwaukee, Makita, Bosch, Ridgid, Ryobi)
  • Up to 20x longer life than bi-metal in stainless and cast iron applications
  • Single-blade pack (CT-1 suffix)

Application: The 12" length is for deep cuts in cast iron drain pipe, structural steel angle, large-diameter conduit, and metal demolition where cut depth exceeds 6 inches. Use a heavy-duty corded saw to handle the longer blade flex.

Carbide vs Bi-Metal: Carbide-tipped teeth last up to 20x longer than bi-metal blades in stainless steel, cast iron, and high-strength alloys. For mild steel, copper, and softer metals where speed beats tooth life, a bi-metal blade cuts faster at lower cost. Carbide is the right call any time the blade fights the material.

Feed Pressure Tip: Let the blade do the work. Carbide-tipped teeth chip under heavy feed - use light, steady pressure and let the saw set the cut rate. Keep the shoe firmly against the workpiece to prevent blade flex, and use a few drops of cutting fluid on stainless or hardened steel for cooler, longer-lasting cuts.
