IRWIN VISE-GRIP AVIATION SNIP, RIGHT CUT - 10"The Irwin Vise-Grip 2073112 aviation snip cuts straight ahead and curves to the RIGHT, following the universal green-handle convention for right-cutting tinner snips. Hot drop-forged blades hold an edge through repeated cuts in cold-rolled sheet steel, aluminum, vinyl siding, and screen. The compound-leverage handle multiplies hand force so a full thickness cut takes less squeeze, and the serrated lower blade grips the workpiece to prevent the metal from slipping ahead of the cut.
- Cuts straight and to the RIGHT (green handle convention)
- Hot drop-forged blades for strength and edge retention
- Serrated lower blade for cleaner, slip-free cuts
- Safety latch with one-handed release - lock the snips closed for safe pocket carry
- ProTouch cushion grip handles for comfort and control
- 10" overall length, compound-leverage design
Tip: Use right-cut snips when the WASTE side of the cut is on your LEFT - you keep good metal in your right hand and the offcut curls out of the way. For HVAC and sheet-metal work most installers carry all three colors (red/left, green/right, yellow/straight) since the right tool depends on which side of the line you are saving.
