The Irwin 373004 hole saw mandrel drives bi-metal hole saws from 1-1/4" to 6" in diameter. The 1/2" hex shank seats securely in 1/2" drill chucks (and works in 3/8" chucks that accept hex shanks), and the threadless design prevents the saw from binding or seizing on the arbor during use. The removable pilot drill can be replaced when worn rather than scrapping the whole mandrel.
