SCHEDULE 80 PVC COUPLING - 1-1/4"Schedule 80 PVC coupling joins two lengths of same-size PVC pressure pipe with solvent-welded slip socket connections at both ends. The heavy-wall Schedule 80 construction handles higher working pressures than standard Schedule 40 - the right choice for industrial water systems, irrigation pressure lines, chemical handling, and any application running near the PVC pressure limit.
- Size: 1-1/4" slip x 1-1/4" slip (accepts Schedule 80 or Schedule 40 PVC pipe of same nominal size)
- Schedule 80 heavy-wall construction - higher pressure rating than Schedule 40
- Dark gray PVC body, UV resistant for outdoor exposure and easy visual identification vs white Schedule 40
- Solvent weld connection - use PVC cement rated for Schedule 80 (typically gray-bodied cement)
- Meets ASTM D2467 (Schedule 80 PVC pressure fittings)
- NSF Listed for potable water applications
- Working temperature: up to 140 deg F (PVC limit; use CPVC for higher temps)
Tip: Schedule 80 PVC fittings are mechanically compatible with Schedule 40 pipe of the same nominal size since the outside diameter is identical between schedules - the difference is wall thickness, which affects internal flow but not joint geometry. Always clean and prime both surfaces before applying cement, and hold the joint together for 30 seconds while the cement sets.
