Reduce pipe size at fitting hubs with this Charlotte Pipe Schedule 80 PVC reducer bushing. The spigot end solvent-welds into a standard fitting hub while the female threaded end accepts a smaller pipe size. Made from PVC Cell Class 12454 for higher pressure handling than Schedule 40 in commercial and residential water distribution systems.

Install Tip: Solvent-weld the spigot into the upstream hub with PVC primer + Schedule 80 grade cement; on the threaded outlet use PTFE tape (2-3 wraps in the thread-engagement direction) and hand-tighten plus 1-2 turns. Do not over-torque PVC threads - they crack under tool leverage long before they leak.
