PLASTIC FLAGGING TAPE

Intertape Polymer Group (IPG) plastic flagging tape - a non-adhesive PVC monomeric ribbon used by surveyors, utility locators, foresters, and landscapers to mark property lines, boundaries, trees, buried lines, and work zones. Tear it from the roll by hand, tie or staple it in place, and let the color do the signaling. High-visibility colors stay readable across distance and weather; smooth flexible film resists wind ravel and won't snag on bark or fencing.

  • Flexible PVC monomeric film flagging ribbon
  • High-visibility color for survey, utility, and landscape marking
  • Tear by hand - no knife or scissors needed
  • Resists weather and wind ravel
  • Non-adhesive - tie, staple, or wrap to secure
  • Non-toxic composition
  • Width: 1"
  • Length: 150 Ft
  • Color: Lime

Selection Tip: Lime is the highest-visibility color against bark, brush, brown soil, and snow, which is why arborists, foresters, and trail crews favor it. The 150-foot roll handles a full afternoon of tree marking, trail blazing, or a mid-sized survey loop without changing rolls.

Application Tip: Tie a short streamer (8-12" tail) at eye height on trees, fence posts, or stakes so the ribbon flutters and stays visible at distance. For property corners or buried utilities, tie a longer streamer and double-knot it - single knots loosen in wind. Pull from the roll, don't unspool; trying to unspool plastic flagging tape lets the coil escape and tangles.

Color Convention: Survey crews and utility locators follow informal but widely used color codes: red marks electric and danger; orange marks communication and alarms; yellow marks gas, oil, and steam; blue marks potable water; white marks proposed excavation; pink marks temporary survey or unknown. Match the color to local convention if you're flagging utilities; for general boundary or tree marking, pick the highest contrast against the surrounding terrain.

Care Tip: Store rolls out of direct sun - prolonged UV stiffens the film and dulls the color over a season or two. The ribbon itself is single-use; cut off and dispose when work is complete rather than leaving it tied in the woods where it photo-degrades into microplastic fragments.
