MAZEL GALVANIZED ANCHOR BOLT - 1/2" x 6"Hot-dip galvanized 1/2" anchor bolt designed to embed in wet concrete with the threaded end left exposed to receive a wood sill plate (mudsill). The bent foot anchors the bolt against pull-out as the concrete cures, locking the sill plate to the foundation. Each bolt includes a matching nut and round washer. Hot-dip galvanizing makes them compatible with ACQ-treated and other modern pressure-treated sill lumber that would corrode plain steel hardware.
- 1/2" diameter, 6" total length
- Hot-dip galvanized steel for corrosion resistance
- Bent embedment foot for pull-out resistance in concrete
- Nut and washer included
- ACQ pressure-treated lumber compatible
Best for: 6" length suits 2x4 sill plates on standard foundations - leaves enough embedment in the concrete (target 4"-5" per IRC R403.1.6) with 1" or so of thread above the plate for the nut and washer.
Tip: Place anchor bolts within 12" of every sill plate end and at 6 ft maximum spacing between (IRC R403.1.6). Hold the bolt plumb during the pour or use a sill template - they migrate if jiggled before the concrete sets. Snug the nut after the sill is down, then return for a final tighten once the framing is loaded.
