Tip: Drill a pilot hole the diameter of the screw's solid shank (not the threads) when installing into hardwood. The shank stops at the eye, so a generous pilot keeps the wood from splitting around the entry. Insert a screwdriver or nail through the eye for leverage when hand-tightening.
