Threaded malleable iron coupling with female NPT threads on both ends. Used to join two same-size pipes in a straight inline run.

Tip: Apply PTFE thread tape or pipe-joint compound to the male pipe threads before assembly. Hand-tighten, then add one to two wrench turns - over-tightening can crack the casting.
