The Dial Mfg magnesium anode kit extends the life of evaporative (swamp) coolers by preventing galvanic corrosion and rust from attacking the cooler cabinet and internal components. The magnesium anode acts as a sacrificial element, attracting corrosive minerals in the water instead of letting them attack the cooler body. The included sediment collecting tray keeps the anode elevated above the metal cooler bottom, allowing even degradation on all sides. Includes grounding wire for proper electrical bonding. Best used with coolers equipped with purge systems.
