Cap off the end of a 1/2" polyethylene pipe run with a barbed insert plug. The 1/2" size is standard for drip-irrigation lateral endings and for temporarily sealing a spare port on a poly manifold -- push the barbs into the tubing and lock with a stainless clamp.
