RED DEVIL EZ GRIP TAPING KNIFE FLEX 5"The Red Devil Ergo EZ Grip Taping Knife pairs an ergonomically engineered handle that reduces hand fatigue over a long session with a flexible high carbon steel blade that is molded into and extends all the way through the handle. That full-length blade is what lets you lean on the tool without the blade working loose, and the flex is what lays joint compound down flat over tape.
- Blade width: 5"
- Flexible high carbon steel blade, molded into and extending through the handle
- Ergonomic EZ Grip handle designed to reduce hand fatigue
- Brass-plated solid steel nail-setting head on the handle end
- Manufacturer model: 6216
Tip: Load the knife from a mud pan, not the bucket, and hold it at roughly a 30-degree angle to the wall. Take the compound off in one smooth pull rather than working it back and forth - overworking joint compound pulls air into it and leaves pinholes you will have to fill again.
Care: Wipe the blade clean and dry it before you set the tool down. Joint compound and spackling are easy to wipe off wet and stubborn once they cure, and a cured ridge on the edge will drag lines through your next coat.
